The Winnipeg Blue Bombers begin their first official practice week on Aug. 1 ahead of the 2021 CFL season opener — a Grey Cup rematch with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats — Thursday Aug. 5 at IG Field.
While it is still officially T.B.D. who will get the Week 1 start in a few positions, and the health of key contributors such as Andrew Harris and Darvin Adams are also still up in the air, here is Bonfire Sports' "Way-Too-Early" depth chart for the defending Grey Cup champs.
*** Important to keep in mind; the Blue Bombers employ a variety of personnel packages, especially among the defensive front, the receivers group, and in the defensive backfield. Player availability (ie. health) plays a significant role in where players actually line-up in a game. For example; a corner can move to halfback, a wideout to the slot, or a middle linebacker to the weakside.
The only real question mark I have, and I’m assuming many have, is what our DBs will look like this year. Thursday will be fun to watch. Something tells me the over is going to hit.

Absolutely. Offences seem to have the advantage early in the season. Thursday should be a blast! Cheers, Tyler.
